This document sets out the terms applicable to your participation in the Share your IELTS Journey Terms (the Promotion). By submitting an entry or otherwise participating in the Promotion, you agree to comply with these terms, and any reasonable directions given by the Promoter regarding the Promotion. Please ensure you’ve read and understood the terms before entering.
1．Who is the Promoter?
The Promoter is IDP Japan which is part of IDP Education Limited (ABN 59 117 676 463), Level 10, Two Melbourne Quarter, 697 Collins St, Docklands, Victoria 3008 (IDP).
2. Who is eligible to enter the Promotion?
To be eligible for the Promotion, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent to enter.
successfully complete an in-centre IELTS test (either Academic or General Training) at an IDP Affiliate between 25 Nov 2024 and 31 January 2025.
By entering the Promotion, you confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria.
3. Who is not eligible to participate?
The Promotion is not open to any entrant who does not meet the eligibility criteria above and entries received from ineligible entrants, or entries submitted without having taken the IELTS at an IDP center, will be deemed invalid.
4. How long will the Promotion run?
The Promotion will run between Monday 25 November 2024 and 11.59PM on Friday 31 January.
5. How do I enter the Promotion?
To participate in the Promotion, you must visit the designated Promotion landing page, https://ieltsjp.com/japan/about/snscampaign2024/en-gb and follow the instructions provided.
6. Do I need to pay a fee to enter the Promotion?
There is no separate fee required to enter or win this Promotion. However, entry into this Promotion does require the purchase of an IELTS test though the Promoter in accordance with the eligibility criteria set out above.
7. What are the prize details?
There are a total of 30 Amazon e-gift cards, each worth 30,000 yen, available. These are e-cards from Amazon Japan and can only be used on the Japanese Amazon website.
8. How will the award be judged?
Each entry in this Promotion will be assessed by a panel of judges within IDP.
The Selection Criteria: Passionate, Creative, Includes a personal story.
9. How will the winners be notified?
The winners will be announced on or around 17 Feb 2025, and IDP will also notify winners at this time using the email provided at the time of entry. The notification will include information on how to claim the prize.
If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within seven (7) days of the initial notification attempt, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next highest scoring entry.
It is your responsibility to ensure you provide correct and up-to-date contact information. The Promoter is not responsible for notifications that are misdirected or not received due to incorrect contact information.
10. Publication of Entries
By entering, you agree to grant the Promoter (IDP and its partner JSAF) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and publish your post, including your account name, text, photos, and videos, on the Promoter’s social media channels and other promotional platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), WeChat, TikTok, the Promoter’s website, and promotional materials in print created by the Promoter.
11. What are the Promoter’s rights?
The Promoter’s decision on all matters pertaining to this Promotion will be final.
The Promoter reserves the right to:
verify the validity of each entry;
disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, is unlawful, inappropriate, insulting, inflammatory, defamatory, incomplete, ambiguous, fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, damages the goodwill or reputation of the Promoter, or is not in accordance with these terms; or
vary these terms and conditions or suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time and for any reason without notice to you.
12. How does the promoter handle my personal information?
The Promoter will handle your personal information in accordance with the Promoter’s Group Privacy Policy (https://www.idp.com/australia/privacy-policy/) and applicable data protection laws.
The Promoter collects personal information from you to conduct the Promotion, determine eligibility, notify winners, distribute the prizes, and for marketing purposes relating to the Promotion and winning entries. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to third party services providers for these purposes.
It is a condition of this Promotion that the winner read and agree to the Promoter’s Group Privacy Policy. By entering the promotion, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for the purposes outlined in these terms and acknowledge that your personal information will be transferred and processed in accordance with the Promoter’s Group Privacy Policy.
As the Promotion is global, please be aware that any personal information you provide may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including but not limited to Australia and other Participating Countries, each of which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

14. Inconsistency with Country-Specific Laws
These Terms are intended to comply with the laws and regulations of the Participating Countries in which the Promotion is offered. If any provision of these terms is inconsistent with laws, regulations or requirements applicable to the Promotion in Japan, the Country-Specific Terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency in Japan.
